Ashcroft Denied Immunity from Civil Suit for Wrongful Detention (11:09 pm)
Dan Eggen for WaPo reports that “A federal judge in Idaho has ruled that former attorney general John D. Ashcroft can be held personally responsible for the wrongful detention of a U.S. citizen arrested as a “material witness” in a terrorism case.”
Well, now. There’s some mighty significant implications to consider.

We’ve got to start holding our politicians responsible for breaking the law. Ashcroft should stand trial, but so should Bush, Cheny, Rove, and a host of other thugs. I fear for this country if we don’t take action against the current evil regime. We must either vote all the incumbents out who have taken part or allowed the atrocities of the last 5 years, or accept living in a facist dictatorship. Freedom is fast becoming just a memory due to people like Ashcroft.
