Liveblogging — Bad speakers (6:29 pm)
I’m stuck in the bloggers tent as my Progress Illinois editor uses our shared credential so I’ll subject you to a few of my thoughts on the DNC speeches tonight. Ready? Let’s go.
Governor Sebelius may be good on policy, but man is she stiff on the stump — talking over applause, rotating her head back and forth like a metronome. Just generally underwhelming. The follow-up to Bush’s STOU was no fluke. And Bob Casey was way too proud of his one-liners. At least give a few seconds before you start cheesing, man. It’s unseemly.
Nice to hear both pols taking it to McCain, though.
